Hello and thank you for taking the time to look over my profile here on our wonderful Household webpage.
My Name in the SCA is Argus Caradoc. In the mundane world it is Matthew Travison. I am 41 years old and have been playing in the SCA since 1988. My first event was a Pertaro War in the very south of California. I have always had a love for the middle ages. The SCA is a wonderful place to explore that love.
My persona is Meridian…after all it is the Kingdom I belong to in the “Known World”. Most folk in the society pick a place and a time period. My personal philosophy is that we have created these kingdoms, baronies, shires and so on, and I may be from one these places. The middle word in our society is creative. I’d rather not have to lock myself down to just one period or place, but rather be able to explore it all and see life though many eyes.
I am a Squire of Master Sir Geoffrey and hold my head high to have been chosen as such by him. I hold him, this household and the friendships I have in this society close to my heart. I personally feel that it is the people you have around you and the friendships you create that make what we do here work. I try to hold honor and chivalry in my heart at all times. Although sometimes we all falter, we all do our best. One day I hope to become a Knight in the SCA, but if that never happens I already have the greatest gift out of this thing we do here and it’s you.
